The Way To Better Skin

Great blemish-free skin seems to always elude us. Just when we think we've found the perfect serum for our skincare, something new comes up. Or, the weather changes and suddenly our face no longer likes the product.

But having better, healthier skin isn't always reliant on products. Experts remind us that some daily habits and a little or more change in our lifestyle can factor into our better skin goals.

Whether you are here for anti-ageing skincare tips, or you have been working on completely removing acne out of your life, these natural and easy-to-do activities will get you to the path of beautiful skin.

1. There's Something In The Water

When I first moved out of our home and into university, I had the worst breakout of my life. That's when I found out that not all water from the tap is equal. My skin dried out, and I had to have regular visits to the dermatologist for treatments.

Your experience hopefully won't go as traumatic as mine, but it's worth considering that you should consider your water. Tailor your skincare products accordingly. If you have soft water in your area, it may not be able to remove certain types of soaps properly. This will cause buildup in your skin.

2. Drink (Iced) Green Tea

If you are prone to redness or blotchy skin, you need to add green tea in your life. But don't get the kettle just yet! Iced tea is prefered here because hot beverages can worsen the redness.

According to experts, Green Tea helps prevent collagen destruction and other sun-induced damage on your skin. That means drinking more iced tea will help prevent wrinkles!

3. Manage Your Stress

We preach self-care for a reason! Stress takes a toll on all areas of your body, and it will show on your skin. Those acne breakouts, skin blotchiness, dryness and all can be induced by your stress hormones.

Fight the frazzled feeling by practising self-care activities that help you manage stress.

4. Improve Air Quality

Since we spend more time in our homes now, it makes sense to make our household a haven of care. Be mindful of indoor pollutants that can negate the air quality.

5. Get a Full Night's Rest

Sleep is a gamechanger. If you are serious about practising self-care this is one thing you should fully understand. Being sleep-deprived puts more stress on the body. Without sleep, you won't be able to regenerate energy and heal. That spells skin problems of all kinds.

Achieve Better Skin by incorporating these easy tips and reminders into your lifestyle.
